Copywriting and copy editing are unique art forms. The act of copywriting involves writing text for the purpose of advertising or marketing. The product, called copy, is written content that aims to increase brand awareness and ultimately persuade a person or group to take a particular action. A copy editor reviews and corrects copy to improve accuracy, readability, and fitness for its purpose.

I specialize in writing and editing copy for social media. Previously, I've managed the Facebook and Twitter pages of a student-led fundraising office for a Big Ten university, as well as the Facebook and Twitter pages for a student support  office at that same university. Today, I write the copy for a daily podcast that averages 70,000+ listens on, and I contribute to social media campaigns for Gumbo Media, an organization that curates content which expands the narrative of African-American life.
